What it takes to revolt

Image:Revolution 2293.jpgIn order to start a revolution against your government, all you need is a substantial amount of people working together who all believe strongly about something that needs to be changed. For example, if the Canadian government passed a law that enough people felt strongly against, than they can work together and revolt. Most causes of a revolution most likely would be from from a rude dictator who mistreats his people.

Are we good or bad?

The general population of the human race. Are we good, or are we bad? It's really how you choose to look at it. Now of course, there are some bad people, and there are some good, but the idea of deciding whether or not to classify an entire world on whether or not we are bad because of those who ARE bad, is not worth your thoughts.
Consider this; a nice man (assuming he's the good citizen) on the way out of the grocery store holds the door for an old woman, she says thank you and all is good. While the man walks down the street on his way home, after shopping, a man (the bad citizen) runs from behind him and takes his grocery bag, running off across the street. Many bystanders witness the robbery, but none do anything. Are they bad people, or just don't want to get involved in the business of someone else? Well lets consider them neutral. So, assuming the majority of the population is neutral, and the rest of the small portion is divided evenly through the good and the bad, what does that make people in general?
I think it's important for you to focus on if YOU are good or bad, and for YOU to try and make a difference in society. The justice system for the most part handles the bad, keeping them in line, so the good can live properly with one another. So don't worry about everybody else, and get yourself in the mindset to try and be a good person.

What makes a good citizen

A good citizen, something most try to be. Whether you strive for it through community involvement, activism for change for the better, or just trying to be polite, it would be amazing if everybody were good citizens. Just think, a world where everybody acted like the general thought of being a good citizen. Would most world problems disappear? I believe so.
One thing that makes people a good citizen, and a big factor at that, is being involved in the community. Doing anything from participating in community service, to being a part of an activist group, anything that can help to make the world a better place is a good citizen in my eyes.
Others, if being involved in the community, can be good citizens through extremely small things as just being a nice person to others, whether it be by holding the door for someone behind you entering a building, to sparing a little change to a homeless man on the street.
Another thing that altogether keeps everybody in line and being respectful, is following laws. If all laws were followed by everybody in a community, so many of the problems in today's society just wouldn't be there.
To wrap up, anybody can be a good citizen if they try. All it takes is a little determination and a mindset to make the world a better place!
